The Dunmoor Lighthouse

The lighthouse in Dunmoor is a towering structure made of gray stone and stands tall on a cliff overlooking the harbor. It is one of the tallest lighthouses in the region and can be seen from miles away, serving as a beacon of hope and safety for ships at sea. The base of the lighthouse is a large circular platform made of stone, upon which the tower is built. The tower itself is cylindrical in shape and tapers slightly towards the top. At regular intervals, there are small windows that provide light to the interior of the tower.   At the very top of the lighthouse, there is a large lantern room, which houses the beacon that guides ships into the harbor. The beacon is made up of several powerful lamps that produce a bright, steady light that can be seen from far away.   To reach the top of the lighthouse, there is a spiral staircase that winds its way up the interior of the tower. It can be quite a climb, but the view from the top is breathtaking, as one can see the entire harbor and beyond. The lighthouse is manned by a small team of keepers who maintain the beacon and ensure that it is always shining bright to guide ships safely to port.   The current keepers of the Dunmoor lighthouse are a couple named William and Lillian Grey. They are both in their mid-50s and have been in charge of the lighthouse for over 20 years. William is a tall and sturdy man with a full beard, while Lillian is a short and plump woman with a warm smile.   William and Lillian take great pride in their job and work hard to ensure that the lighthouse is always in good working order. They take turns manning the light at night, with William usually taking the first half of the night and Lillian the second half. During the day, they work on maintenance and repairs, such as cleaning the lenses and painting the tower.   The couple are known for their kindness and hospitality, often inviting passing sailors into their home for a warm meal and a comfortable bed. They also keep a small vegetable garden and a few chickens to supplement their food supplies.   Despite their peaceful life at the lighthouse, William and Lillian are not afraid to defend themselves and their home if needed. They keep a small stash of weapons hidden away in case of emergency and are skilled with a sword and crossbow.
