The winged Jerboa

THe winged jerbil is a rare, solitary rodent with wings that lives a solitary life out in the deserts, using its wings to glide from dune to dune. It picks on small insects and the rare fruits it can find. These critters are known for their curiousity and playfullness and are known to check out adventurers parties. Seeing one is saying to be watched by the djinni, for not only is it fantastically mobile, its ears are said to hear the faintest whisper.
