Ki'nashor - Mages of the Black stone

Blistering heat danced and shimmered, thickening the air in the small circular room. The ancient workshop, strewn with blacksmith tools and runic scrolls, appeared to hold its breath as the dim glow of molten obsidian traced gentle shadows across the rough-hewn walls.
The single occupant of the room, a tall dark-skinned man clad in a traditional kaftan, began to chant in a sonore, deep voice, the words ancient and crackling with power. Swirling red tattoos ,etched into the mans marred skin stirred, awakening from their slumber. Each rune pulsed faintly, responding to the flowing rhythm of the incantation. The workroom itself seemed to absorb the sound, the walls themselves seeping with power as magic was being woven.
Slowly , the tattoos luminence spread further, tracing intricate patterns along the figure’s arms and neck. A slow, throbbing pulse of magic permeated the air, resonating through the chamber, its air bristling with primal energy.
The molten rocks glow, once a dull glimmer, grew stronger, shifting from dim to a searing, piercing white. Shadows danced wildly on the painted walls, their edges sharp and jagged.
The mans voice rose, the syllables merging with the pulse until both became one and the same -a primal force seeking release.
And then, without warning, the magic broke, the glow receding. Darkness swallowed the chamber whole, leaving only the fading echo of heat and magic lingering in the air. The man lowered his arms with a satisfied smile, his task complete. On the table, a black dagger with swirling patterns lay amidst the broken cast, its edge gleaming in the light.
Kaharan Obsidian , also known as the "black heart of Aran’sha", undergoes a secret process where raw obsidian and other ingredients are melted and infused with magic. The result is an exceptionally hard material that is nearly impossible to melt again.

The secret to this arcane transformation is kept by the royal guild of obsidian smiths and guarded by magical oaths, intricately engraved in swirling tattoos. These oaths bind the smiths magically, preventing them from discussing their work with anyone outside the guild and are applied before an acolyte is allowed to even learn the simplest techniques.

To the common folk, these obsidian smiths are known as Ki’nashor, translated roughly as “mages of the black stone” in the common language.
They work by channeling their magical energies directly into the obsidian. However, this infusion of magic comes at a high price: controlling the flow of magical energy into the minerals is notoriously difficult, destabilizing their ability to manipulate other forms of magic forever.
Despite these challenges, members of the guild are highly esteemed for their sacrifice and dedication to their craft - and handsomely paid.
