Iron - The Serpent's Tear
This article is still being expanded - expect updates and additional content
Iron, also known as "The Serpent's tear" or "Trader's Folly" is an incredible rare material in Aran'sha- its only found in a few, inhospitable areas of the serpents spine, the giant mountains that carve their part trough he lands and in small nuggets within the great streams.
The few imports that make it to the main cities, carried by ship trough incredible long and arduous journeys are used in potions, as magical ingredients or for jewelry. For all its scarcity, Iron has become a sign of wealth and prosperity and many a trader or nobleman carries jewelry or rings forged from iron or even steel - if they can afford it. Where most civilizations would build their progress under the silvery guard of iron and steel, the people of Aran'sha build their progress in the warm, glowing hues of bronze and copper.

I'm curious - given how rare iron is, how good are they with it? Have they found alloys that minimize rusting?
