Death, in Aran'sha, is not an end but a transition. The manner in which one bids farewell to the mortal coil varies greatly across the vast and varied landscapes of the continent, from the mountain people settling the windswept peaks of the Serpent's Spine, to the sun-drenched shores of Ri'kahar, and the endless steppes inhabited by the Children of the Plains. Each culture possesses its own unique funeral rites, its own way to guide their deceased to afterlife.
