Dune Hopper

The dunehopper is a small, jumping insect not quite the length of a finger. It is well-adapted to its environment, colored tan and brown and able to jump vast distances for its size. Dunehoppers are ferocious fighters and feed on a variety of small insects and small lizards. Dunehoppers are nocturnal creatures and their mating chirps can be heard all over the desert. They spend the day hiding under rocks or in burrows, taking refuge from the burning sun. At night, they come out to hunt for food.
