Desert ant

These giant ants make their burrows at the edge of the desert - even the smallest of the adults is the size of asmall child and their burrows are elaborate tunnels. Fearless adventure parties travel down into the burrows to plunder their provisions that are widely known to be delicacies. Its incredible dangerous work and many a seasoned fighter has been lost to the depths, never to join the rivers of souls. Rumours say, there are queens deep within the burrow, wise and alien beings that do not speak by words, but by touch and smell in a kaleidoscope of senses. But even while the rumours persist, none wo ventured out to find them has returned.
