The Goddess

The Goddess is believed to be the progenitor deity and overall creator of Arameia. The Goddess came to a dark and empty world, and in her loneliness she created Arameia and the life that inhabits it. She lived among her creations for many years before creating her "Chosen Children" or the current Deities of the Arameian Pantheon. When war and brutality came to Arameia, and her Children waged war, she retreated to her Garden out of sorrow.   Much of what is known of The Goddess has been passed down through verbal storytelling, which has led to changes throughout time. There is little written on the Goddess, only that she was a being of love and beauty. There are many depictions of The Goddess throughout Arameia, but there is no agreement on the most accurate representation of her visage.   Ancient depictions show that the Goddess has changed rather drastically from a beautiful and loving maiden to a dark and shrouded figure, this is to represent the sorrow she faced after the Sundering, and the corruption of The Garden after Emperor Ektherion Kalaxis IV breached the home of the Goddess and forever corrupted it. Many also believe that this offense is what caused the Goddess to leave Arameia.
