Church of the Dark Promise

The Church Of The Dark Promise is a sect of the main Church of Babylon; that focuses on the Oaths and Contracts aspects of Babylon's domain. The church follows much of the standard operations of the mainline Church of Babylon however rather than trying to directly take seats of power within the government the followers of the Dark Promise has two main objectives:

The first is to infiltrate society and normalify the practice of codifying any promise they make ranging from commoners dealing with petty squabbles to large scale politicians making deals with other nations to ratify every document in the name of Babylon.
The second is to hunt down and punish any oath breaker. The inquisitors of the church hunt down anyone who is known to have broken a contract, oath, or promise made in Babylon's name.

The church often works closely with Contract Devils to aid in the creation of important contracts and in order to reach high ranking positions in the church priests must undergo a rite of bartering with a Contract Devil to gain the ability to create Devil Contracts in his name.
