Glynhorn's Criminal Endeavors

Day 1: The First Strike. Glynhorn adjusted the mithral breastplate over his lean frame and pulled his hood low as he approached the lavish carriage parked at a roadside inn. The target was a young merchant known for exploiting local artisans. Glynhorn waited until the merchant stumbled out of the tavern, drunk and careless. With precise movements and sharp wit, Glynhorn slipped into the carriage and retrieved a velvet pouch filled with gold and a sapphire brooch. By the time the merchant realized his loss, Glynhorn was already melting into the surrounding forest.   Outcome: Success. Gold earned: 50 gp.   Day 2: The Opportunist. Rumors led Glynhorn to a noblewoman traveling with her retinue. She was well-protected, but Glynhorn observed an opening during their camp’s evening meal. He crept through the shadows, slipping past inattentive guards. He cut through the cords of a trunk laden with jewels and snatched an ornate gold bracelet. The adrenaline surged through him as he darted away unnoticed into the night.   Outcome: Success. Gold earned: 75 gp.   Day 3: The Failed Heist. Glynhorn’s next target was a pair of wealthy traders resting at a secluded estate just outside Frandyln. The estate’s high walls and vigilant guards made the task challenging, but Glynhorn’s confidence drove him forward. As he scaled a wall, a loose stone gave way, clattering loudly. He narrowly escaped pursuit but was forced to retreat without the prize.   Outcome: Failure. No loot gained.   Day 4: A Risky Gambit. Learning from the previous day’s failure, Glynhorn selected a traveling noble family known for their ostentatious displays of wealth. He set a trap along their route, felling a tree to block their path. While the guards busied themselves clearing the way, Glynhorn rifled through the family’s belongings, taking a bag of gold and a fine ruby-encrusted dagger. Before the guards noticed the theft, Glynhorn disappeared into the underbrush.   Outcome: Success. Gold earned: 75 gp.   Day 5-6: Laying Low. Glynhorn spent the next two days hidden in the woods surrounding Frandyln, counting his earnings and reflecting on his successes. The forest’s cool, damp air was a welcome respite from the tension of his heists. He knew he’d have to return to the city soon, but he relished these brief moments of solitude and freedom.   Day 7: The Return and Capture. With his ill-gotten gains safely tucked away, Glynhorn made his way back toward Frandyln. The city’s lights glimmered on the horizon as the sun dipped below the trees. As he walked along the forest path, a chill wind swept through, and the shadows seemed to stretch unnaturally long.   Suddenly, a figure emerged from the gloom: a tall, imposing man wrapped in dark robes adorned with arcane symbols. Glynhorn instinctively reached for his weapons, but the mage raised a hand, muttering an incantation. A bolt of shimmering energy struck Glynhorn, sending him to his knees. His vision blurred as the world around him faded.   Fade to Black: Glynhorn’s unconscious form is dragged away, his fate now entwined with the others already captured by this mysterious mage.
