Day 1: Arrival and Service
Severus arrives at the Temple of Drahvena, his mind clouded with questions and guilt. The clerics welcome him back, their serene demeanor contrasting with his inner turmoil. He immerses himself in religious rites, chanting prayers, lighting incense, and weaving simple threads as an offering to Drahvena. During his meditation, he feels the faintest tug of warmth from the spool of thread he carries, though no immediate answers reveal themselves.

Day 2: The First Clue
While assisting the clerics in repairing a ceremonial tapestry, Severus’ thread begins to glow faintly. The senior cleric, Sister Velyra, notices and beckons him aside. She examines the spool and whispers, “This is not an ordinary thread, Severus. It is woven from the essence of memory itself. You must weave it into a tapestry to unlock what lies within. But be warned—the memories it holds will demand a price.” She explains that the thread must be woven during a special ritual, one that requires patience and courage.

Day 3: A Name Forgotten
In a moment of deep meditation, Severus hears a whisper, soft yet unmistakable: “Sszaryn Vekthiss.” The name lingers in his mind, stirring a faint sense of familiarity. When he shares this with Sister Velyra, she confirms that it is likely his birth name. The revelation unsettles him, as it feels like a fragment of a life he cannot yet grasp.

Day 4: The Vision of Betrayal
During a quiet moment of prayer, Severus is overcome by a vivid vision. He stands in a dimly lit chamber, his hands gripping the neck of an elf. The elf’s face is blurred, but their voice echoes with desperate pleas. Severus feels the overwhelming weight of guilt as he watches himself squeeze the life from the figure, a dark force compelling him to act. When the vision fades, he is left trembling, unsure if this is a memory or a cruel trick of his mind.

Day 5: The Tapestry of Shadows
While cleaning the temple’s sacred chamber, Severus notices an ancient tapestry depicting an intricate web of threads, both light and dark. As he approaches, his spool of thread glows brighter, and he feels a pull toward the tapestry. The clerics explain that it represents the delicate balance of memory and fate. “Your thread,” one cleric remarks, “may be the key to untangling your past. But remember, Drahvena’s balance demands sacrifice.”
---
Day 6: The Cost of Memory
Sister Velyra speaks with Severus at length, cautioning him about the cost of using the thread. “To weave your memories back into the tapestry of your life will take more than effort,” she says. “It may weaken your body, drain your strength, or leave you vulnerable in ways you cannot foresee. And should Drahvena herself intervene, her price will be higher still.” That night, Severus dreams of a shimmering figure draped in twilight. A voice, soft yet commanding, echoes in his mind: “Can you bear the weight of the truth?”

Day 7: A Decision Looms
On the final day of his stay, Severus begins preparing for the weaving ritual. He gathers materials blessed by the clerics, but the thread remains untouched. The vision of the elf haunts him, and the name Sszaryn feels heavier with each passing moment. As he completes his final prayers, Sister Velyra approaches with a parting word. “The thread is yours to weave, but the choice to begin must come from you. When you are ready, Drahvena will guide your hand. But know this: memory is both a gift and a burden. Choose wisely.”

Next Steps for Severus
Severus leaves the temple with the spool of thread and a growing sense of purpose—and trepidation. The knowledge he gained over the seven days offers him a path forward but demands that he confront his fears and decide whether the truth is worth the price. The name “Sszaryn Vekthiss,” the vision of the elf, and the ritual weaving are now threads waiting to be tied together, forming the tapestry of his lost past.
Out of character
The clerics also tell you about a tribe of Yuan-Ti that live in the burning flats to the west. They call themselves the Zshar'Akai. Very little is known about them as they tend to stay to themselves and do not often leave their tribal lands in the desert.
