In the ancient times of the Grey Savannah, there existed a kingdom known as the Kelfindar Kingdom, a flourishing realm inhabited by the gnomes. The legend tells that the queen of Kelfindar, driven by her fear of mortality and the endless lure of eternal life, set out on a perilous journey beyond the borders of her kingdom. Accompanied by a loyal contingent of gnomish knights, she ventured into lands unknown, seeking forbidden knowledge and the elusive secret to everlasting life. Her journey lasted many years, and throughout this time, the kingdom awaited her return with hope and trepidation.
When the queen finally returned, it was not as the vibrant ruler they remembered. Those who saw her immediately noticed the change. Her eyes were sunken, her demeanor haunted, and it was clear she had seen many terrifying things that had left her worse for wear. However, in her hands, she held a small golden box, which seemed to emanate an unsettling aura.

The Unleashing of the Curse

The queen, her face grim and unreadable, gathered her citizens to witness the unveiling of what she had brought back from her long journey. With a sense of both dread and fascination, the gnomes watched as she opened the golden box. The moment the lid was lifted, a thick, green, icky cloud began to seep out, quickly spreading through the kingdom like a creeping fog.
