Gerard Luciene

Lord Gerard Luciene

Lord Gerard Luciene is the current head of the noble Luciene family and a mid-ranking official in the Holy Church. He is a devout follower of the Radiant King and a member of the Holy Kingdom's 26-person ruling council. He is known for being strict and unforgiving, and he has a reputation for being a harsh leader.   Lord Luciene is the oldest son of the previous head of the family, Lord Alfred Luciene, who passed away when Gerard was in his late twenties. Gerard inherited the family's title and wealth, and he has since worked to maintain and improve the family's status in the Holy Kingdom.   Gerard was married at a young age to Lady Adelaide Veilmont, the daughter of the wealthy Veilmont merchant family from the south-eastern Radiant City. Together, they had three children: Astrid, Arthur, and Henry. Gerard has always had high expectations for his children, particularly his two sons, and he has been disappointed in Astrid's inability to use holy magic. Because of this, he has neglected Astrid in favor of his two younger sons, and he has often been cold and distant towards her.   Despite his stern demeanor, Gerard does care for his family and is deeply devoted to the Radiant King. He often puts the needs of the family and the Church before his own, and he will do whatever it takes to maintain their status and power in the Holy Kingdom.
