Green Dragons
Conception: 1050 DR
Leader: Roadcaptain, Sorilia Sunstrider
Purpose: Scout and Protect the areas of the Forests of Cormyr and ensure the roads are kept clear and safe.
Ranks
Wood Scout- Entrance rank of the Green Dragons
Green Scout- Leads a group of 5-8 Wood Scouts called a Set.
Scout Master- Leads 5-8 Sets
Forest Marshal- Leads sections or the entirety of the green dragons within a Forest of Cormyr.
Road Captain- Leader of Green Dragons, almost always a Sunstrider
History
Following the Elemental Incursion in 1042 DR during Azoun II's reign the Sunstrider Family was given Dukeship over the King's Forest. They worked hard to create the necessary protectorates for the area, including the Green Dragons and the addition of King's Flame Sanctuary. The green dragons are merely a branch of the purple dragons that specialize in nature settings, keeping trade roads cleared, and monsters away from settlements. They report any portals they find to The King's Flame Sanctuary, and the Sanctuary patrols as well as an added layer of protection.
