Cormyr's Founding {26 DR}

In 6 DR a man named Ondeth Obarskyr brought his family and a close friend to a small wood known as the Wolf Wood. They settled here as farmers, but the elves that owned the land did not like them settling uninvited. The elves sent a human wizard, Bearauble Etharr  to evaluate the humans. Ondeth and Bearauble Etharr spoke and the human settlers were relegated to a small portion of land. The settlement Suzail, named after Ondeth's first wife, Suzara, grew larger than anticipated. A human family known as the Bleth's decided to make a house outside of the city, outside of what the humans were allowed to own. In 16 DR Suzara left the settlement, abandoning her children. A few months after, the elves burned the Bleth farm and killed every Bleth, save for a sister of Lord Bleth who was visiting Ondeth's bedchambers.   Ondeth Obarskyr was furious and travelled with a few families and his son, Faerlthaan Obarskyr , to the Bleth Homestead and saw elven swords in the backs of killed children. Bearauble Etharr, the Elven representative, told the humans that if they continued to settle outside of what they were given, Suzail would be burned to the ground. Ondeth convinced the other families to comply, while the Elves decided if the humans should be aloud to live or not.   In 26 DR, Ondeth Obarskyr was killed in a boar hunt and the elves convened in tents on the outskirts of Suzail. Bearauble Etharr brought Ondeth's Son, Faerlthaan Obarskyr, to the elven court. Faerlthaan Obarskyr was mad, being taken from his father's funeral. The Elven Court offered him three options, to leave, to be eradicated, or to be ruled by the elves and live the elven life. At this time the Silver's, remaining Bleth's, and Ray Burton's stormed into the Elven Court swords drawn. The families swore loyalty to Faerlthaan Obarskyr, showing to the Elves that Faerlthann could run a tight ship. With the allegiances sworn Faerlthaan Obarskyr was now a King and technically an equal to the Elven King due to this. Faerlthaan Obarskyr swore to the elves he would honor his father's respect for the land. Illiphar Nelnueve, the Elven King was impressed, and allowed them to exist, passing his crown to Faerlthaan and birthing Cormyr.   Bearauble Etharr was put in charge of assisting Faerlthaan Obarskyr in running Cormyr. His wife cast geas on him and forced him to comply, and Bearauble Etharr became the first of the Mage Royals of Cormyr.
