Battle of the Witch Lords {903 DR}

In 903 DR Cormyr was in a state of growth and was beginning to threaten the inhabitants of the Vast Swamp. Necromancers who were working with ogres and trolls had claimed ownership of the area and didn't want to be interrupted and were willing to make a deal with Cormyr about letting them continue their actions, but one wizard who had recently joined their ranks revealed himself to be the treacherous War Wizard Luthax (see Thanderahast Etharr for more information on him) who assumed control of their entire operation using enchantment spells.
Luthax pitted his armies against Cormyr in the Town of Wheloon. The two sides were separated by the Wyvernflow, a river that connects the Wyvernwater to Dragonmere. A large stone bridge thought to have been constructed by the dwarves in ancient history connected the two halves. Before the battle began, Thanderahast Etharr rode in on a small pony and mocked Luthax telling him to get off of his high horse. King Galaghard Obarskyr III brought his personally trained military unit called the Glory of Cormyr (later named the red dragons).
In the battle an ogre general by the name of Bantru was single handedly taking the bridge from Cormyrean control and at the rate Luthax's armies were pushing back Cormyr was in for a lose. The Witch Lords also had giants bat which they rode, alongside some of their elite minions. King Galaghard Obarskyr III and the War Wizards protecting him were fighting the Witch Lords and slew a few of them. One of them was about to unleash a Disintegration spell on King Galaghard Obarskyr III before a young noble of the Bladesorrow family jumped in front of the spell and took the full force of it, saving the King. . Near the mouth of the bridge a Purple Dragon of Cormyr's Glory known as Hendrix Summerstar halted the advance of the Witch Lords armies for a full 30 minutes of straight fighting (300 rounds of combat in D&D terms). He nearly slew Bantru before he passed out from exhaustion. As Bantru went to cleave Summerstar's body in two he was shot through the eye by an elven arrow and Bantru fell dead. The fractured Cormanthor had come to aid Cormyr to return the favor of helping them in The Weeping War and also to claim vengeance. Some of the Witch Lords alongside Bantru the Ogre General helped the Yugoloths lay siege on Myth Drannor. The Elves came in with small numbers, but were heavily armored and rode griffons and other flying creatures.
With the combined effort of the Elves and the Purple Dragons they were able to surround and destroy the Witch Lords. Luthax and Thanderahast Etharr entered a mental battle were Thanderahast Etharr melted his mind for killing his mother figure, Amedahast Etharr .
In the conclusion of the battle the town of Wheloon was officially under Cormyrean control and was ruled by Viscount Summerstar. Already nobility, the Bladesorrow Family was elevated to the status of Duke and they controlled the areas around the Vast Swamp from there on.
The bridge since then has gotten the name "Hendrix' Font".
