Mist Hunter

On the continent of Irelith, the threat of the Mistveil looms constant. It's choking mists drift westward in sporadic intervals and blanket the land in a fog so thick a person standing an arms length away would vanish from your sight. Fields turn barren, crops rot in the ground, animals either flee or are found lifeless, and sickness takes hold. The young and the old rarely survive. But worse still is what thrives in the mist. Within its depths lurk horrors, creatures born of the gloom, twisted things that hunt the living. They kill without mercy, feed without end, and leave nothing but devastation as the Mistveil stretches across Irelith.
The threats the mist brings are many and faced with such darkness, the people of Irelith have refused to yield. Those that fight against the horrors of the mist have come to be called Mist Hunters, brave souls that stand against the monstrosities that lurk inside. Many Mist Hunters extend their efforts beyond battle, taking up skills such as medicine, farming, or animal handling to mitigate the mist's most devastating effects. Their mission is not only to fight but to heal and rebuild. To help as many as possible, Mist Hunters often form groups that venture into the mist, risking everything to bring aid to those in need.
