Unraveling Test
The Unraveling Test is a recruitment test undergone by new recruits into The House of Sinew. All prospective recruits must undergo The Unraveling Test, which is catergorised as a psionic trial that determines their suitability.
Execution
The recruit is placed in a psionically warded chamber where their mind is partially exposed to controlled fragments of Far Realm energy. The experience varies, often manifesting as vivid hallucinations, incomprehensible whispers, or encounters with alien beings. Those who emerge unscathed—or even strengthened—are inducted as Initiates, while those who falter but show promise may receive additional preparation. However, those who break completely are either mercifully put to rest or sent to The Soulbinder for rehabilitation.
