The Kingsbane Stone

The Kingsbane stone is a legend depicting the death of a minor Elven king. It is rumoured to be a redenition of the Curse of Imprecation, one of The First Curses developed by Kal Crist in the ancient times.

Summary

It is said that, after raiding a temple dedicated to Kal Crist, the King was enamoured by the statue of a Hag that was collected from the rubble. Little did he know, the statue was cursed by Imprecation, one of Kal Crist's First Curses, the Curse of Obsession. The King fell in love with the statue, to the point where he was caught by his wife, the Queen Consort, attempting to sire an offspring with the statue, claiming that one it was worthy of baring his children. In a fit of rage, the Queen murdered the King, and, due to so savvy political moves, she gained his throne in recompense.
