Academy of High Sorcery

Located in the city of Krinn, capital of Rebeorynn, the Academy of High Sorcery is one of the few standing organizations of high arcana left in the world after the Cataclysm. Established in the first century of the Age of Creation, the Academy has long stood as a stronghold of magical potential in the west. While the academy doesn't reside within the walls of the city, it is by no means unprotected. Part of it's own ward, it rests atop a man-made plateau and is connected to the Senorum District by a long stone bridge. There are living quarters within the Academy for both pupils and instructors who do not reside within the city.   The Academy primarily focuses on three schools of magic in which they excell: Transmutation, Illusion, and Enchantment. The Academy has taught some of the greatest enchanters of the last several centuries, many going on to create wondrous works, most of which were either destroyed, lost, or scattered during the Cataclysm. The study and practice of Necromancy is heavily restricted.

Structure

The organizational structure of the Academy is one not unlike that of other schools of higher learning. At the helm is the Headmaster and just below him is the General Counsel, made up of the senior instructors from the various departments.

Public Agenda

To seek and rebuild that which was lost during the Cataclysm. To provide the kingdom and it's citizenry guidance and protection through the use of the Arcane. To teach young men and women the ways of magic so that it may uplift the Kingdom to greater heights.

Assets

For all intents and purposes, the Academy is an extension of the government of Rebeorynn, and as such, are funded directly from the kingdom's coffers.
