Session 52
Strong Start:
The rain clouds are barely glowing as it's dusk. This morning was escaping centaur scouts in the fields of faeire, then there was the political negotiations with the local warlord, which lead into an hours long endeavor to escape a city being attacked from within it's own walls. Now you're rowing... out to sea... in the 'Ready Oarknot', a boat that gives off serious dad vibes with designs painted on the sides that have an outdated sense of cool to them. Your whole body aches as you row. The city is smoking behind you.10 Secrets & Clues
1. There is a troll that has escaped the sideshow in they were the main attraction of in the Arrowyard and is now hiding in the woods, eating all those that come too close. 2. Finnan has joined the crew of the Black Terrapin and wants Team Elliwick to join as well, to fill out the ranks of the corsair ship. The Black Terrapin is heading to Ledd to find Morley, a dwarven conman who owes Olga money for scrolls of mold earth that she scribed for him. 3. SSMC modrons are under orders to make sure Elliwick dies away from prying eyes and will try to become her escort detail. 4. Lady Atheia rolls in with her Order of Atheia, replete with bards singing danceable religious hymns, the core order members, and a colorful caravan of followers. They are looking to buy passage to Hedeby to set up a mission on Eistedfod Island. 5. Heintz the court arcanist was once wealthy and his wealth was lost onboard The Empyrean of Waves which has been seen from Brecc. 6. The leader of the Scythians, Lawshum was killed in the battle and is a tabaxi, a type of creature no one in Team Elliwick has seen before. 7. Disglerio is being sold as a slave by a svirfneblin named Bergljot for 12gp 8sp. Disglerio knows where a great treasure is hidden near Dun Ferch (its actually that the Collaiste by the Corrib sold him into slavery after he tried to sell them stolen goods from the villagers of Dun Ferch and Disglerio wants two groups that have foiled him to come to blows) 8. Two halfling traders named Lesley and Dillion are fleeing the Cavalcade of Cadavers. They tried to trade with the cavalcade and had to run for their lives when they recognized what it really was. They have a spell bottle with greater restoration in it. Folas, two days ago you felt yourself nearly sink into unconsciousness in a vision of a gray sea just like the one you are on now. Being on the water, you feel directly connected back to that life threatening moment with Knowing Noga. Folas as you drift into your meditation/dreams, images fade and shift into each other like they're being viewed through water. You see a tongue that leads to a distorted old woman whose open mouth droops down to her navel, creating a long division in her torso. Next you see a view of the ocean floor in the fey realm by a coral reef and floating and steadily shifting in the waters is an endlessly long lock of hair. Then you're out in open water in faerie and standing out starkly from the blue surrounding it, is another lock of deep teal hair that extends out towards the horizon. This image shifts to the last one, this one is difficult to discern at first since it's a view from so incredibly close but after a moment of processing you see a gray scalp with teal hairs coming from it and floating out into the water. This last image just dissolves away as if it's sinking further into the water. The vision/dream lasted maybe 45 seconds but the vividness made it feel so much longer.Armor of Lawshum
Padded Armor of Vulnerability (Resistance to bludgeoning, vulnerability to slashing + piercing) 12+dex (no disadvantage on stealth). Has an emblem on the right breast of two raven heads in a circle. The rest of the armor is a light gray with deep green piping.Potential Scenes
- SSMC modrons approach Team Elliwick and inform them that the city isn't safe and that they will escort Elliwick to Lothian.
- Lady Atheia wants to know what happened to Do'Chara and sees Quinn as a potential way to spy on the Lothic Church of Briganta. "My life has been so shaped by Briganta that I can't imagine who I'd be without her. I'd be the wife of a basketweaver still, fearing for so much. Fearing my wife's business decisions, fearing that the pact she made with the local witch would turn sour, fearing that my children wouldn't all get something to eat. But at the same time, I've shaped Briganta. We all do. The gods are what their followers believe them to be. The Lothic Church and I have issues. There's no secret there. They are emphasizing the revelry aspect too much, to the detriment of the healing and community facets of Briganta.
