The Aspects of Aode in Aode | World Anvil

The Aspects of Aode

Here, I will explain the basics of our existence and what lies within the Barrier, our small bubble of order in a vast sea of emptiness.
The Void- The void is unknowable. It is inconceivably vast and empty, yet things exist within it...and have come from it. IT surrounds o
The Aster- Not much is known about the Aster, but it appears to hold the other planes together, keep them safely separated, and prevent us from dispersing into the Void with a bubble of energy. It is more of a force than a place, and cannot be seen or perceived in any meaningful way here on Aode. It is surrounded by the Barrier.
The Spirit- Spirit is a misty field that accumulates like fog near the very edges of our Asteral bubble. Some believe it is where our consciousness is taken from, others believe it is the remains of the uncountable dead from the The Eternal War. Perhaps it is both.
The Ether- The space within the Asteral Bubble is not the same as the space of the void. It is traversable, gaseous, and mystical. Some majic allows you to travel through the Ether, or become one with it here in Aode.

The following are the elemental aspects which surround Aode within the Aster. It is believed these six planes were present before the arrival of Daemons and Celestials.
Loam- Loam is the realm of solids, of stone, dirt, and metal. Most solid matter comes from this aspect.
Inferno- Inferno is a place of consumption and heat. Fire, the sun, emotions, and reaction come from this aspect.
Aire- Aire is a place of space and movement. Gravity, motion, cold, and gas comes from this aspect.
Aquea- Aquea is the place of liquid and vitality. Water and life come from this aspect.
The Glowe- Glowe is a place of light. It is what creates the sun and gives day and starlight.
The Gloom- Gloom is a place of darkness. It gives lights their shadows and is the cause of reflections.

Finally, we have our home, Aode. Where nearly every mortal, from the greatest Zarma to the lowliest worm has lived and died. I highly recommend staying here. No matter how bad it seems, what is outside our shield is far worse.
