Nilwäith Rosewarden

Naomi de Champlain (Nilwäith Rosewarden) was born to an elvish mother and her human father (His Excellence, Lord Adrien de Champlain). For much of her childhood, the young girl knew nothing of her mother and her father raised her in a traditional noble manner. That is, he shuffled the girl around from tutor to tutor, noble family to noble family, to curry favor and groom her as a powerful bargaining chip for his house. Naomi never liked this way of life, and when the civil war struck she found herself in even more constricting environments as her father threw in his lot with the murderous pretender to the throne, the late King Edward.   For safekeeping during the time of strife, her father sent her to one of his estates in the countryside. It was her first time out from under her father’s thumb and her first taste of true nature. Her elven blood sang at the feel of the wind on her face, the smell of grass and trees. It was then, by chance, that her mother’s long search for her came to a close, as a group of elves stole into the estate at night and rescued Naomi.   Mother and daughter made up for lost time and the young girl was taught the ways of the other side of her ancestry. She fell in love immediately and took to elven life quickly, taking the name Nilwäith and adopting the common spelling of her mother’s surname, Rosewarden. When it came time to choose a trade, Nilwäith looked to the great Queen who had sacrificed all for her people. Queen Tia was magnanimous, bold, and beautiful all in one. For a girl coming into her own, she represented lofty ideals to hold herself too. Nilwäith joined the ranks of the elves that protect the land, receiving training in their ways of war and in healing.   When Tia made her grand return, Nilwäith knew that there was only one place for her, at the Queen’s side.
