Dragonsmere

Dragonsmere is a small freshwater lake in the centre of the city's mid-commerce district. It's popular with local residents as a spot for fishing, swimming, and pleasure boating. A pretty footbridge spans its narrowest spot, leading from the residential area of Backbone's mid-commons district to the AFCTA (All Faith Clerical Training Academy). The ruins of the haunted Château de Barrere crouch on its western shore.
Many myths swirl around Dragonsmere. Some say the waters are sacred to the ancient goddess of magic herself. Others that the lake hides the lost ruins of a fallen Netherese city.
