Nessien's Migration
Nessien's Migration is the legendary journey of wood elves from Wildren to south-eastern Alberon, reportedly having gone through the feywild. The alberonian wood elves claim it's true and the khanrathi clans don't keep enough records to verify it, and they had to get their somehow. The legend goes that Nessien was born into a khanrathi clan who worshiped Khanrath and Vivia. They believed, as most khanrathi clans do, in a survival of the fittest model and that their constant war was making the world its best self by cutting out the weak. They also revered nature and the mighty beasts that competed with them in the deadly game of survival. Nessien was a prominent druid of one of these clans.
During a raid on another clan someone started a fire, the season had been unusually dry and miles of forest and grassland were destroyed. Both clans and even those who weren't involved in the raid lost members, some clans were wiped out forever. Nessien turned into an eagle and flew above the flames, and watched in horror as nature paid the price for their violence. She left her clan with other druids and shamans, finding like minded individuals from several of the clans. This new group were largely pacifist and were seen as an insult to the khanrathi way of life. Fearing for the safety of her followers, especially as she aged, Nessien cast a mighty spell transporting them all to the feywild. In the feywild Nessien and her followers lived as nomads for a time before wishing to cross the sea to the east.
The north wind agreed to help on the condition that she slay the mightiest wolf in the forest and bring him it's pelt. Nessien agreed, fashioning a longbow from the heart of the mighty white oak tree and a thread of moonlight. She then went into the forest searching for her wolf. When she laid eyes on the mighty beast 30 feet tall and white as snow Nessien lay down her bow and began speaking to it. She explained that the elves needed the wolf's help and together they hatched a plan.
Nessien returned to the north wind's palace dragging the limp wolf body behind her. The north wind cackled in glee as he examined his new prize only to find its jaws wrapped around his body and a silvery arrow pointed at his head. Held captive The north wind carried them over the sea. On the other side Nessien attached his cloak to an arrow and shot him back across the sea. It is common knowledge that alberonian elves hate the cold, this is the explanation they give, even now the north wind is trying to have his revenge.
Chased by the north wind, the elves took shelter with the east wind. It was here that Nessien found a portal back to the material world. While most of her followers came back with her some are rumored to have stayed behind, this is supposedly where eladrin come from. Those that did come back made the forest their home and became known as the alberonian elves.

Cultural Reception
The different cultures of Anthranon take this legend in different ways. The alberonian elves take it as doctrine and it is a central piece of their history and religion. The rest of alberon don't really care, it might be true it might not, it makes no difference to them. The khanrathi tribes violently disagree that Nessien was a demigod, at best they doubt her existence and at worst they see her as a traitor, failure, and coward. The zirdian elves think that it is nothing more than a legend possibly true but not of any great consequence if it is. The sumarrians see nothing odd about this origin story as their culture was also formed by a demigod. The rest of the world doesn't really care.
