Mont Ostoroth
Mont Ostoroth is the name of both the mountain and the town that The Noble and Most Ancient House of Ostoroth call home. The Monor itself sits at the top of the mountain and is connected through both an overland path and a series of old mining tunnels.
Demographics
Of the town's 4000ish inbabitants just over a third of them are slaves and half of those are owned by House Ostoroth itself. Mostly labor slaves to work the mines or surrounding fields. But they also have a sizable gnome population that they use in the refineries that require chemisty.
Infrastructure
A large section of the town is used for the various factories and refineries, this has lead to a pattented magical item made of paladium that turns the smoke and gases into hot air, making the smoke stalks seem to billow in the winter. While many of buildings in town are beautiful and artfully designed it is very clear that the city had little to no planning, slave quarters are next to manor grounds, factories are next to parks, the streets are winding and not at all grid-like. Many of the mining slaves actually live in old tunnels that have been outfited with air refreshers and water creation.
Architecture
Nearly all of the town is made of the dark marble found in the mountain. The lower class areas from cobbled marble and the high class with large slabs and collumns.
Geography
The town is set at the northern base of the mountain. There is a small forest growing on the eastern side
Natural Resources
Once upon a time Mont Ostoroth had a mithril mine that the house used for its swords, but over the millenia the metal has dried up. Now their mining opperations are on a much smaller scale and instead are mining mostly lead but also alluminum, paladium, and small amounts of andracite and cerussite. The small forest that grows on the mountain is heavily controlled and kept free of poachers and logging.
