The Age of Worms / The Zenith Trajectory pt. 9/ Fos the 22nd, 3593 CE / 8-8-21

General Summary

In Bhal-Hamatugn, an underground temple of the race of fish people known as the ulat-kini, Not By Choice searches for a missing dwarf named Zenith Splintershield, who lead a quest 10 years prior to invade the Everlasting Night and has not been seen since. Since arriving at Bhal-Hamatugn, they have had to contend with an assault by ulat-kini forces, and even as the fight continues with guards in the temple's lookout post, cleverly disguised within the eyes of the giant stone fish which the temple has been built to resemble, Milton attempts to open the doors leading to the temple's interior. Doing so sets off a magical trap, as a blast of sound force bursts through the entryway, deafening Milton and the gnome Cherrit whom the party recently rescued from the temple's prison. After finishing off the guards and providing Milton with some healing, the party proceeds deeper into the temple, discovering the central altar to some obscene effigy worshiped by the ulat-kini, a vaguely humanoid looking crustacean. The shrine comprises multiple levels, the lowest of which is partially submerged. Four ulat-kini priests stand on the watery steps leading up to the altar. Though the party attempts to not alert them, when Nari enters the shrine, the eyes of the idol begin to glow, and the priests turn and point, at the platform on which the party stands, signaling another battle is imminent.
