General Summary

Esp uses acupuncture to cure Winter's curse. Garrok has left. Sigvald soon follows, stating the his dream told him that the object of his quest, Priestess Maeve Trelawney, is dead. Hemlock gets his sword repaired. Cassandra Wren's Watchers have returned. Stonebriar Asylum is empty. Hemlock hears the name Viktor Demain and has a strange vision. The party, with Cassandra, returns to Orchid Hill. Having to choose between moving rubble from the basement entrance and descending via the well, they choose the hatch, and begin pulling aside blackened timbers.
