Strange Aeons / The Rushton Terror pt. 23 / Eire the 12th, 3592 CE / 3-9-21

General Summary

The assault on Orchid Hill continues! Having breached the guardhouse and fended off a horde of hungry cannibals, the heroes move their attack to the main house, in their effort to finally unravel the mystery of the Rushton terror. As Garrok, Gleorn, and Desh take on cultists of Hastur in the dining room, Hemlock, Sigvald, and Trakir enter the manor house through the main entry hall, only to be attacked by a creature out of nightmare, an eldritch beast known as a Hound of Tindalos! Trakir and Hemlock reason that the beast may have been summoned accidentally by the cultists' meddling in dark forces, and as Sigvald fends off the otherworldly hound, Garrok charges through the enemy forces to open the door between the hall and dining room, much to the cultists dismay. Meanwhile, more cannibals have exited the cook house and are heading towards the fray, only to be cut short by Gleorn locking them out. Trakir, spotting a vile idol of the elder creature known as the Black Goat of the Woods, flies into a zealous frenzy attempting to destroy it. As Desh takes down a cultist with her power over cold, the party regroups, utilizing healing magic as they prepare for the next onslaught.
