Strange Aeons / In Search of Sanity pt. 26 / Eire the 9th, 3592 CE / 5-19-20

General Summary

The party continues their battle with three of Zander Ulverus's oneirogen. When the last is slain, the mist surrounding the island begins to thin noticeably, but Kingfisher warns that if they do not finish the job by confronting Zander himself, the curse may persist. Esp finds herself drawn towards the hypnotic power of the cult leader's strange drawings and warns the others to avoid looking at them. Proceeding further along the second story, the party discovers Zander's inner sanctum, the walls coated with his bizarre chalk sketches of alien landscapes. Zander himself sits there observing their approach, but he moves and speaks as if directed by another, when he decries in a strange, otherworldly voice that he already watched them die. A battle begins with Zander and the Apostle who escaped earlier to warn him, and though Zander's servant is felled, the cult leader demonstrates powerful psychic abilities similar to Esp's that make him a formidable foe.
