Strange Aeons / In Search of Sanity pt. 11 / Eire the 5th through the 6th, 3592 CE / 10-29-19

General Summary

With Haskell and Yew providing cover, the party is able to flee the nightgaunt and back to the safety of the survivor's barricade.There they spend a day resting and recovering, as Haskell apprises Winter of what they have learned, as well as administering healing arts to Kingfisher and Hemlock. While Kingfisher appears to be recovering somewhat from the fever he caught from the bite of the unfortunate ghoul, Norman Gage, Hemlock's tumors have grown by the morning, though a prayer to Accuris from Winter provides him with some additional aid. The party warily ventures back into the asylum's central foyer. Seeing no sign of the nightguant, they secure the door leading to the courtyard to try and prevent the creature from re-entering the asylum. Opening the last door leading from the foyer, they find a comfortable looking lounge, made less inviting by the sight of two dead bodies, dressed in the same yellow robes as the insane inmate Julian Rivers. Wary of the large picture windows in the lounge and the threat of attracting further attention from the nightguant, the party closes the door and leaves the room as is. Passing once more through the library, they enter an L-shaped hallway, the one in which Rorgrim previously spotted the strange, mucus-like trail. Opening a door that shows no sign of entry from whatever has left the mysterious trail, the party is confronted with the sight of a ruined office occupied by dire rats and ratlings, one of whom points an accusing finger and demands to know why the party has been killing his people.
