General Summary

The party, consisting now of Hemlock, Esp, and Trakir, are informed by Cassandra Wren that they will take a riverboat in two days in pursuit of Baron Haver Lowell IV. While Hemlock collects his sword from the blacksmith, Esp decides to see if she can gather any more information on her past life from the townsfolk. She visits the Silver Carriage, where she makes peace with the proprietor, Deanna Galilee, who previously held a grudge against the party for their uncouth behavior while in the employ of the Baron. That night at the Silver Carriage, Esp tries to use her powers to sway one of the revelers to confide in her. She attracts the attention of a young man named Maris, who works at the local warehouse, but other than some light flirting, he can offer no insight into her past. The next night at the Silver Carriage, Esp runs into Otis Remsatter, the fisherman who ferried the party to the sea cave where they first encountered Darla Coronet. Otis seems to look up quite a bit to Esp and her fellow Adventurers, and she suggests that perhaps he can join them on their journey downriver to Liem and beyond. Otis is intrigued by the idea of leaving his hometown and seeing the greater world, and agrees to meet Esp in the morning at the docks. Seeing no further hope for learning about her past, Esp retires and prepares for the days of travel ahead.
