Nature Drifter

Nature Drifters are mages who are masters of nature magic. They can control both the animate and inanimate pieces of nature around them. The main difference of Nature Drifters from other nature mages is their education and power. All Nature Drifters are trained by the Colleges of Nature, which is an organization operating in all human countries.

Nature Drifters work in many places. Some examples are construction, military, education and trade.

Career

Qualifications

A person with magical abilities must apply to the local College of Nature where they must pass a rigorous test. It checks not only the candidates magical abilities, but also their knowledge and character. Candidates who pass the test begin their training. At the Colleges students are tought both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Career Progression

Student

Education to become a Nature Drifter takes about 5 years. Throughout that time students are not allowed to leave their college.

Apprentice

Apprentice is a student of the second stage of the Nature Drifter education. Apprentices are assigned to a master. Usually one master has up to 3 apprentices. Apprenticeship usually lasts 3 years.

Master

Master is the first rank of a full-fledged Nature Drifter. Most people end their education here and leave the College.

Grand Master

Grand Master is the highest rank a Nature Drifter may achieve through learning. When a Master is ready for the test he must go to the College Administration and ask for a special exam commission to become a Grand Master.

Dean of Nature

Dean of Nature is a title given to the head of a College of Nature. Any master or grand master working at the College can become a dean. Dean is chosen by the College Assmebly, the group of all masters and grand masters working at the College.

Rector

Rector is above all Colleges in the world. He is chosen for life by the Deans of Nature.

Abilities

• Air Blades - a Nature Drifter creates a pair of blades from air. To make the blades visible they use the natural air humidity
• Air Jump - a Nature Drifter creates a bubble around himself and/or any group of people. The bubble allows him to teleport to any place in the world
• Conrolling the soil
• Conrolling the plants
• Nature Sense - Nature Drifters can use their magic to "see" their surroudings when there is no light. It is unknown if a blind person could use it to function normally

It is said that very few Nature Drifters have also the ability to control animals, but no one like that was seen in more than 1000 years.
