The Fallen Empire Of Te-O-Dalina

Many tales exist about the existence and fate of the ancient empire of Te-O-Dalina, an island-spanning culture whose ruins can occasionally be found by adventurers while exploring Damir.
An amalgamated summary of the tales concerning this empire is thus: That once, mighty Te-O-Dalina ruled over all the land of the lord of the winds. Under its care the land was said to have prospered, and though airships did not yet exist during that age, that great empire found a way to spread its reach across the continent. But hubris and corruption can rot even the sturdiest trunk, and following the shrinking of their borders and the rise of new powers in the region, Te-O-Dalina lost more and more power, until finally in desperation they are said to have put something forward that guaranteed their destruction. So their powerbase was obliterated from the face of the Floating World, and their knowledge with them.
Yet not everything was destroyed. Here and there, some ruins (oft mostly eroded) still reveal the marks of the once-great empire. And in some distant corner of the Floating World rumours are still told about the location of Te-O-Dalina's legendary capital, where forbidden knowledge (or treasures beyond imagining) lie waiting.
