The Veiled Enigma

The Veiled Enigma is the god of stagnation, forgetfullness and disbelief.
It is said to have been born from the downfall of civilizations caused by the Dragonbane one hundred millennia ago, and has seven ranks of angels.

These are the lower-level angels who serve as messengers of The Veiled Enigma, spreading forgetfulness and disbelief in subtle ways. They embody the essence of stagnation and obscured knowledge, weaving doubt among mortals and impeding the dissemination of information.

Fading Sentinels

As the second tier, Fading Sentinels are the frontline guardians, ensuring that the separation of lands is maintained and preventing the easy exchange of knowledge. They protect the borders and enforce The Veiled Enigma's desire for stagnation.

Lingering Sages

The third tier consists of Lingering Sages who act as the custodians of forgotten knowledge. They guard hidden libraries and archives that contain ancient truths obscured from the world, preventing seekers from accessing and sharing these suppressed wisdom.

Veilweavers

The fourth tier comprises Veilweavers, skilled in manipulation and illusion. They create intricate falsehoods, obscuring historical records and introducing doubt into the minds of those who seek the truth. Their illusions are potent tools to perpetuate the stagnation of knowledge.

Eclipsed Oracles

As the fifth tier, Eclipsed Oracles possess the power to glimpse the future but obfuscate the path to progress. Their cryptic messages and enigmatic visions hinder the mortals' understanding of the world's potential, further contributing to stagnation.

Stagnation Wardens

The sixth tier consists of Stagnation Wardens, who enforce the stagnation of magical knowledge. They disrupt the learning and comprehension of magic, ensuring that wizards and scholars cannot break free from The Veiled Enigma's influence.

Shrouded Hierophants

At the pinnacle of the hierarchy, the Shrouded Hierophants are the wisest and most powerful angels. They embody the god's essence of forgetfulness and disbelief on a grand scale, obscuring entire regions and rendering them inaccessible to outsiders.
The only known location of a Shrouded Hierophants is The Veiled Expanse, where it is said one rests in the centre, ensuring the region's ancient secrets never leaves its presence
