Session 041 - Beretan, We BEARly Knew Ye Report
General Summary
Session 41: As a side bar; you gave DM inspiration to the people making all of the bear puns at the end of the session so Pat, Sean, Carl and Jake all start with it
Quindi, 19th Day of the Hunter
Rhyke is catatonic, Thad and Zoda try to pick up him up, Thad put his back out and Zoda lifted him for a second before dropping him on top of himself
Musky conjures 4 war horses, everyone hoists Rhyke on to one, everyone gets on the horses continue on our way
Beretan opts to leave and check on Mother Solari
Travel for about an hour, Rhyke wakes up, viewing things likes it’s a weird tv show, Musky is now afraid of horses/donkeys , we come across a stone archway.
While looking at the archway, only Thad could read the writing on it, Musky caught sunlight reflection and was blinded for a minute, Thad uses his sword to activate his wings to fly through the arch, Juni sees what he is doing, jumps on her broom and races past, now has advantage for 4 days
Continue travelling east, woods are becoming a little darker and more decayed, Musky is happy and feeling much more at home in this area, we progress further until Juni and Musky observe a party a short distance away and we proceed to connect.
Thad recognizes they’re wearing robes of The Hunter, they are out hunting “Brunwyn, the Great Bear”
It was a great protector of the woods and has become violent in the last few weeks, has killed several people
Hunting party head north east, we continue east with Juni scouting above the trees for signs of any destruction/bear related, continued our progress until we stopped to make camp for the night, nothing of note happened during the watches
Sextdi, 20th Day of the Hunter
Day 2 for Juni, Musky is obsessed and touching things, Zoda believes in a false reality, Rhyke and Bews are obsessed with a single thought, Ink has irrational fears/phobias,
Musky apologized to Hotae (the Donkey), Juni heads above the trees and notices smoke to the northeast of us, we head over to investigate, all of the hunters we met the day before are dead but nothing indicates for food/survival, wounds have burn marks and sweet smelling residue,
Musky thinks it’s caused by a magic welding honey badger, everyone else suspects a huge bear
Zoda notices a trail of blood heading north, follow it for a while and leads us to a large cave with huffing coming from within, and the scent of honey and heat
