Asphos - The Fates

He is never seen, but always present, or so the lore tells it.
Always invoked when a bet is taken, a danger is faced or a test is undergone, he is often thanked or blamed for the good and bad fortune of those who call upon him.
Gamblers and many of the less savoury elements of society are particularly careful not to cross the God of Fate.
Some say that Asphos has his hand in every important decision that is ever made on Andúnë. Others believe he acts only on the smaller events, but his designs are inscrutable and mysterious. Is he holding the literal fate of the world in his hands, or is he merely the embodiment of something people say to console one another in the face of failure? Is there a difference?
