Arch Cleric
Qualifications
Schooled in theology and history. This is what they tell the followers of the order, bt many Arch mage also excelled in military arts, martial arts and warefare.
Requirements
Only a Lightcreature can enter the Order, thus oly a lightcreature can become Arch Cleric.
Duties
The Arch Cleric is the leader of the Order of Light. They decide the course of the order and command the paladin army. they are also in a lesser form Landlord of Templar rock and the grounds apppointed to the Lightcreatures.
Responsibilities
They lead the armies in the command room. Ever since the third Arch Cleric (appointed in times of peace after the demons had been banished) They won't show themselved on the battlefield, but rather plan out battles and curry favours in back-rooms of politics and courts. In times of peace the Order brokers peace between nantions or expands it's own influence in politics by waging war or currying favours.
Benefits
They command one of the larger armies in the Kingdom, giving them enourmous power. They are also a religious organisation, enjoying the benefits of seeming uninvolved in politics, making them less of a target.
The Arch Cleric also holds many favours in different courts, since the Organisation banished the demon invasion a good 200 years ago.
Accoutrements & Equipment
The higher-ups in the order wear robes that seem harmless to the untrained eye. In face the Orders robes are reinforced armourments meant to look like robes. You can't catch a cleric of the order unarmed or unguarded.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
death,execution, excommunication/exile or even the disbanding of the organisation could lead to the Arch Cleric being Arch Cleric no more.

You could compare the Arch cleric with the Catholic Pope, but the Order of light is much more militant that they seem to appear.

Their answer? Darion himself, but in reality an Arch Cleric is only chosen if they have enough support amongst the higher-ups in the Order.
