- In the lands 'The Treaty' watches over, healthcare in mainly covered via taxes and small fees that the 'Healers Guild' may charge.
- Amongst human kingdoms it can be covered by taxes for royalty and their direct workers, others must pay out of pocket.
- Dwarves have healthcare paid via taxes.
- Elves pay for healthcare out of pocket.
- Orcs barter with goods for access to a healer if there isn't a healer in the tribe.
- Travelers may pay a flat fee to have a healer travel with them.
- Typically across the races and cultures the rich can afford better healers and better medical supplies than the poor.
- However there are healers that travel from settlement to settlement, offering their services in exchange for a meal and a place to sleep for the night.
- To magically speed up healing can be expensive, so the poor can't afford this.
- There is typically at least one 'health center' in each large city and settlements.
- Smaller settlements and those far from the big cities often don't have healers that live in them. These places either rely on traveling healers or local herbalists.
- Small settlements have higher death rates due to raids, lack of supplies and lack of near-by healers.
- Magic can accelerate healing or reduce symptoms, but it cannot completely heal large wounds or treat illnesses.
