Basic Information

Anatomy

Stingrays have a flat, triangular body and a long tail with a barbed stinger on it.

Biological Traits

Defense They swing their tail at threats for the barbed spine on their tail can inject painful venom.

Ecology and Habitats

Mainly native to warm seas. they can also be found in bays, estuaries, and even rivers. Often they will bury themselves in sea grass, sand, or mud.

Social Structure

On average they live in flights of around 12 individuals.
