One of the largest creatures in the seas, many claim that they can temporarily change the currents by swimming.

Basic Information

Anatomy

These immense squids are easily recognizable due to their large eyes and eight extremely long and thick tentacles. Two of their tentacles are longer than the rest, and have barbs on them. Nestled at the base of their tentacles is their beak.

Biological Traits

Defense The Kraken's first line of defense is to squirt ink towards their enemy, hiding themselves in  a murky cloud just long enough to give themselves a chance to jet backwaters towards safety. If that doesn't work they can use their barbed tentacles to either strike at the threat, or drag it down to the depths to drown it.
Health Can regrow tentacles, but it takes time.

Ecology and Habitats

Found throughout the seas, they spend most of their time deep beneath the waves, and it is rare to see them at or near the water's surface.

These beasts are common in the legends and stories that sailors tell each other, with many involving the krakens attacking ships.
