Biological Traits
Duergar tend to move rather slowly when navigating unfamiliar tunnels.
Ecology and Habitats
Unlike the other Dwarves folk Duergar are not restricted to the mountainous regions. Instead they are found much deeper underground, in the 'Under Caves'. They are very protective of their territory.

They live in tight knit clans that average about 80 individuals.
Facial characteristics
Duergar are blind so their eyes open appear cold and lightless to those that first meet them. Low, arching brushy brows frame their eyes. Both sexes have big bushy beards but the top of their heads are bald.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
After generations within the Earth, Duergar have nearly lost their ability to see, and now rely on touch and hearing to move about dark home. Both sexes have big, bushy beards that they use to feel the area in front of them, similar to a cat's whiskers. They can still detect changes in light levels and sudden bright lights can stun them.

Duergar and Drow despise each other.
Dwarves
While technically a Dwarf and related to those that live in the mountains, they despise their mountain cousins, they consider themselves to be the only rightful rulers of the underground.

Duergar tend to have pale gray skin.
