Chimeras vs Beast-Folk

• Chimeras and Beast-Folk are not the same thing.
• Chimeras = Humanoid with animal characteristics.
• Beast-Folk = Animals with humanoid characteristics.

Chimeras

• Unnatural hybrids created by the 'Ancient Ones'
• Using magic they were able to combine two or more creatures.
• The knowledge of this magic has been lost to the modern races.
• Only asked if they could, not if they should.
• Often the chimeras were hybrids of an animal and an 'Ancient One' slave/prisoner.
• When the A.O. went extinct the chimeras were free from their control.
• Most have forgotten their origins, but the centaurs remembered. As a result they are not very trusting of the A.O.'s descendants.

Beast-Folk

• Beast-Folk are natural species that were not created by the A.O.'s
