Book of Stories

Only a handful of these books have ever been seen, and usually they are with one of the elusive 'The Three'. Few mortals have ever laid eyes on the contents of the book, for 'The Three' carefully guard their copies of the book. Those who have managed to read some of the pages have reported reading of actual historic events that were written in story format. Others reported reading what appeared to be cliff notes of events yet to pass, stories that had yet to be written.

Purpose

These books record the 'stories' of the world, past, present, and future. One of the main theories as to why 'The Three' carry this book is that they will consult the book about current or future events and try to to influence events in the real world so they match those in the book.

Document Structure

Publication Status

Only three copies are known to exist in the world, with each of 'The Three' in possession of a single copy. However it seems that none of them are the author of the book, nor any of the copies the original copy. There may be a master copy somewhere, in possession of the author, but this is unknown.

Historical Details

History

Since the first recorded sighting of 'The Three' the Book of Stories has also existed. It wasn't until relatively recently that it was learned that the book recorded past, current, and future events.

Public Reaction

Few besides 'The Three' even know that the book exists, for it is a closely guarded secret. However some of those that do know of it's existence are trying to steal the books for themselves. They believe that by controlling a copy of the book they can change current or future events for their own benefit. These powerful individuals have spies across the lands, searching for any sign of one of 'The Three' and their copy of the book.
