Tiamat

Tiamat is a member of the First Brood, a group of god dragons unbound by categories like chromatic or metallic. Tiamat is considered the mother of the chromatic dragons, and considers the value of dragon kind to be above any consideration for other creatures, sentient or not. She values her descendants jealously and is quick to emotions like anger, hatred, and jealously.
Before the First Age, Tiamat took the side of Hel in the war for creation. She considers dragon kind as the only acceptable sentient creation, and even abhors dragonborn and kobolds. She sits in her lair as a Prince of Bataar, acting as one of the princes in the infernal realm. That said she spends as much time plotting the future supremecy of her kin than she does completely the bidding of her devil queen.
Tiamat is a scaled dragon, most of it being a deep blood red. Her scales are often accented by other chromatic colors. The horns on her back fade into a deep green jade. The scales along her spine are pitch black fading into her normal red. The scales on her belly are white with subtle blue along the edges. Some believe her first children were made by the dragon god plucking her scales and giving them life, creating that chromatic kind. This belief is widely considered myth.
