Uri-Colon Republic
The most inward outpost of the Deep Conglomerate in Andaria is the Republic of Uri-Colon. It extends over most parts of the Mohrush Saltlake and down south up the river Ithwrin. The lake is connected at the east to the ocean of Warm Tides via subterranean streams that flow under Yetheloth.
The largest part of the population consists of Sha-Uris, followed wide behind by the Grabtians that make around 20% of the population.
Magic
The Sha-Uris are a peaceful and courteous folk, if one ignores the partially exaggerated pranks they tend to play. Unbeknownst is if the tendency to play pranks originates from the inborn Sha-Uri magic or if it is the other way round. Their ability to cast minor illusions is none the less intriguing and is used in most creative ways for many hoaxes. Every Sha-Uri, who wants to convince by his jester skills, invests some time and effort to broaden their repertoire.Structure
Ifu Nashwa
The temporary chancellor of the Uri-Colon Republic is the Sha-Uri Ifu Nashwa. Reigning now for his second term he is a popular and charismatic figure of state; apart being known for his opulent feasts and hospitality, little is known of his personality.Circle of Salt
As the Circle of Salt being an essential part of Aquan culture, one can at least find a member in every village. In each city are multiple groves reserved for members of the Order to meditate, train or simply relax. The Fifth Army
The Uri-Colon Republic is officially independent from the Deep Conglomerate, but is due to its relatively low population troubled regarding guarding its borders. As the foundation of the Uri-Colon Republic was a political motivated act it is allowed under special conditions to hire the Fifth Army of the Deep Conglomerate on-record. These soldiers of various Aquan Races are mostly stationed in Firux and at the entrances to the underground passage under Yetheloth.Public Agenda
The Uri-Colon Republic is the most inward outpost of the Deep Conglomerate and has two political motivations. Forging ties with the bordering nations and beyond and gather informations about the Old Ones. Who are still loyal to them, what their strength is and more importantly their plans. Simply said: gathering as much informations as possible. To fulfil this task the Republic established trade relationships with every faction that borders the lake and beyond. They mostly export Aquan ressources and goods and retail the traded goods to the next Aquan outposts.
Territories
Fahrvolo
Fahrvolo lies at the source of the river Ithwrin and is one of the few cities that experiments on growing land-walker-food. It is also the only possibility, apart from Stringwa, getting stone from over the surface level.Firux
Firux is the second largest city inside Saltlake Mohrush and a heavily fortified fortress. It is the last bastion against an invasion from the sea should the defensive fortification on both sides of the underwater tunnel connecting the lake and the sea fall. The population consists above-average of Grabtians, who either belong to Uri-Colon or Deep Conglomerate military.Stringwa
Once on of the headquarters of the darkelves from where the attacks on Rocelia where organised, the stronghold was captured in the year 2296 SA in a joined operation between Rocelia and the Uri-Colon Republic. It was subsequently given to the Uri-Colon Republic for administrationing.Tirsthax
The capital of the Uri-Colon Republic lies between the cities Meertown and Sihtthirth and is the only city, which is partially above the surface. There are wide open parks with trees and grassed area, a market place, as well as part of the government district. All official and political events of the Uri-Colon Republic take place here.Religion
The Sha-Uris were created from the love of, the chief deity of the Aquan pantheon, Aloor Warrshmirr and Xeres, the Trickster God and are as such revered as their main deities. They have therefore a very strong inclination to the chaotic side, still for the most part being good, rarely tending to neutral. Their most eye-catching behaviour, or as some would say their most annoying trait, is their constant playing pranks on everybody and anyone, to a degree that some sages argue that the Sha-Uris might be cursed; though no Sha-Uri would ever agree with that.
Apart from that the Sha-Uri are a joyous and polite race, cultivating a culture of welcome and friendship. They tend to build grand and pompous buidlings and love displaying wealth and art.
Foreign Relations
The Republic upholds trade relationships with all bordering nations and as most of its cities are constructed under water it is quite a secure nation. It only has recurring problems with bands of Aer O-Erken, who on occasions try to plunder and steal from the southern cities.
