Hashku

Similar in form to upright cave bears, they reached sapience rather quickly and set up a series of villages that support each other through a "Big Man" system of gift giving. While powerful, they abhor conflict with sentient races. They will put this aside if necessary to defend the ones they love but absent that they are completely unwilling to engage in violence.
