A battle between brothers that saw the fall of the Pathfinders and Peter Montauk cast into the Pathways and Philip Montauk trapped in the armor of the Planeswalker.

When the previous Planeswalker, Lucia, was killed at the hands of the Dark, she passed the title of Planeswalker on to Philip Montauk as her heir. Peter Montauk, his twin brother, did not agree with this decision, and fought him for the artifact.

Thrown across the nation through portals that formed as Philip tried to learn how to use his powers and Peter tried to take it from him. The two ended up confronted with the Dark, which became entangled in their battle. The battle concluded at the height of the Sentinel, where the Wanderer interfered. In the battle, Peter split the left gauntlet away from Philip, claiming it for himself.

The energy released by this split cast Peter into the Pathways and trapped Philip Montauk in the armor of Planeswalker.
