The Embassy

The tavern called Nine Knights Inn but colloquially known as the Embassy is located in uptown Helorus, near the halls of Amphiaraus, and during the Conferences is the single busiest bar in town. It got its nickname because it is the one place that allows members of all nations to stay in its halls. It is a massive two story building with four branches, each themed after a different nation’s aesthetic, with a giant fountain in the center.

To enter, you pay a flat fee of 100 gold at your entrance of choice, and gain full access to the luxuries within.

The north wing is designed with the Rose protectorate in mind. Vines flow off of the second floor balcony down to the first floor, which is an open dance floor always filled with pulsing music and gyrating bodies.

The West Wing is designed like a Fulminarian longhouse. Three long tables stretch the distance of the hall upon which unending cornocorpias of food are placed. The upper balcony portions are single use private rooms for… reasons. Thank the gods for silence spells.

The East Wing is designed for the elves of the Gloamwood. The lighting is dimmed and the floor sinks into circular pockets of pillows and recamier couches that surround hooka pipes. Their sweet vapors drift up to the left and right balconies, separated for the sun and dark elves. The sun elves of Illemnor sit with stiff backs upon meditation pillows and the dark elves of Arctiax sit with equally stiff backs on highbacked gothic chairs, glaring at each other across the chasm, while wood elves make public polyamorous love below them.

The South Wing is very grateful for the wards that surround each section of building, muffling the sights, smells, and sounds of each wing to the others. It is the only wing that is separated into two distinct floors, each filled with pocketed booths. The lower floor looks like a Italian cafe, with tables evenly interspersed throughout and casks of wine lining the walls. Upstairs, the Aurelian purple and gold are softer here, the lights dimmer. Each booth has a privacy curtain that when drawn creates a private sanctum within the booth. It is a place for quieter, more clandestine conversations
