Thunderhead Strands
Where the subcontinent of Nathir meets the vast gulf in the east, a long stretch of coast hugs closely to the mountains. Sailors from eastern Szewn and Aghmarti has for centuries taken their trade elsewhere after a Blue Dragon built his nest and realm in the peaks, patrolling the coast he now claims for himself.
Due to the lack of military, valuable trade partners or just morale, Szewnian administration have turned a blind eye to this threat, as the dragon rarely pushes inland. Only the council of Aflheim have pushed for more skirmishes in the mountains.
The strands, covering the base of the mountain range, are dotted with craters of sand turned glass, after countless reports of two dragons fighting in the skies above, with thunderstorms often following close. Legions of kobolds have been spotted on the northern shores, bearing saffron spikes and blue cloth, serving their master the blue dragon.
